Examination of The Shape and Patency of The Fallopian Tubes (HSG – Hysterosalpingography)

HSG is one of the non-invasive methods used by specialists to examine the condition of the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes, via ultrasound technique and radiopaque material. This examination does not require anesthesia, radiopaque material is introduced into the endocervical canal through a thin catheter. When using this method it is possible to examine not only permeability of the fallopian tubes but also size, shape and possible changes and features of the uterine cavity.
